About the event
In-work poverty is when a person is employed, but their income is still not enough to lift them out of poverty, even when housing costs are considered. This session will bring together up to 16 members of Homecare Voices with two team members from the Living Wage Foundation.
The aim of this session is to hear directly from people with experience of in-work poverty to understand from their perspective what measures could be put in place by employers to support them, their families and their communities. This understanding will feed into a wider in-work poverty benchmark project and shape the Living Wage Foundation's response to the Employment Rights Bill.
During the session, you'll have a chance to get to know one another and learn more about the Living Wage Foundation's work in this area before being guided through a small group conversation to find out more about each others' experiences.…
