IMPACT (Improving Adult Care Together)
Tuesday, 3 December 2024
10:00-12:00. Social care practitioners hold a wealth of knowledge and expertise about their work but opportunities to bridge the gap between research and practice and provide opportunities for reflection and reciprocity are limited. Initiatives in recent years are working to address this gap, notably the School for Social Care research within the NIHR. This seminar seeks to understand the role of practitioner-researchers in enhancing our understanding of social care and thus our ability to innovate and improve services through research and by bringing together different types of knowledge and evidence. The event will include presentations by academics and practitioners, time for discussion led by our co-production advisory group and end with an invitation to get involved in our plans to develop a knowledge(s) network.
