Help future-proof a community for lone workers who support people where you live every single day.

Who are we?

Homecare Voices is a free-to-join, not-for-profit peer support network and advocacy body run by and for over 600 homecare workers throughout the UK.

How do donations help?

Our peer support network relies on voluntary engagement from members, including a small team of part-time homecare workers who volunteer on a regular basis.

To keep things going, we need to be able to cover essential costs such as:
  • Our Service User Involvement (SUI) budget. The SUI budget pays our members a set fee to attend relevant external events, enabling them to take the necessary time off work. This is an instrumental part of ensuring the voices of more homecare workers are heard in research and policy spaces.
  • Access to sector events where attendance by direct care workers is historically low due to prohibitive ticket prices
  • Travel and accommodation for members of our community who attend external events
  • Staffing. At the moment we only have one paid member of staff. We're more than ready to grow
  • All the boring yet important bits, like the costs associated with running our website, insurance and accounting

What our members have to say...

“Welcome to our safe space ✨😊,  vent, chat or read along. I've found it so helpful so far"
"Finally, somewhere for support and encouragement without asking for payment from cash strapped carers. Yes please!"
"Homecare Voices has literally changed me as a person. I've grown in confidence and come out of my shell a lot more. I would never have spoken in meetings and things and now look at me. I've met some amazing people along the way and used a voice I didn't know I had!"
"Research opportunities have rescued me financially 💃"
"For the first time in a long while I've been able to smile and it's because of you and this platform you created"
