Welcoming two new Directors

In keeping with our commitment to being run by and for current and former homecare workers, we're delighted to announce that two members of our network have been appointed as Directors of our Community Interest Company.

Hannah Reseigh-Lincoln and Kyly Richardson have each shown immense commitment to Homecare Voices from the moment they joined.

They are in touch week in, week out and help out wherever they can. This is especially impressive from Hannah - a mum of two who works full time. We're still not sure how she does it!

To formalise Kyly and Hannah's contributions in this way was a natural progression. Here's more information about each new Director:

Hannah Reseigh-Lincoln

Hannah left the corporate world behind for a purposeful, flexible, hands-on role in homecare. As is the case for so many people in our network for whom homecare is not their first career, Hannah found fulfilment in her work like never before but over time came to a place of disbelief about how homecare workers are treated. Hannah is a vocal and tireless advocate for improvements across the board in adult social care.

Kyly Richardson

Kyly worked in retail before entering the world of adult social care, first at a specialist residential care home for people with dementia and then finding her feet in homecare. Kyly is keen to see an alternative to the pervasive 'time-and-task' approach to care planning which has the tendency to reduce whole nuanced human beings to a list of tasks despite all of the complexities that come with daily life. Kyly prides herself on keeping an organised 'car office' and is the brain behind our 'positive Friday' posts which have been putting smiles on faces for a long time now.
