Join a trade union!

First things first, if you have not already joined an established trade union like GMB or Unison, do that now. If you come up against an issue at work in future and you are not already a member, they will not be able to help you.

Once you've joined GMB or Unison, you may contact them for formal advice and workplace representation in respect of any issues that come up in relation to your employment.

Contact ACAS

You can always contact ACAS for free advice and help to resolve a workplace dispute.

 

Contact Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice is another go-to organisation for free advice on a range of topics.

If you're on a Health & Care Worker Visa, you may also be able to seek formal advice via other organisations. Find out about these here.
